Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin, which is named because of its abundant content in green leaves, also known as glutamylglutamic acid. There are several forms in nature, the parent compound of which is composed of pteridine, p-aminobenzoic acid and glutamic acid.Folic acid is actively absorbed and diffused in the body in two ways. The absorption site is mainly in the upper part of the small intestine. Reduced folic acid has a higher absorption rate. The more glutamyl, the lower the absorption rate. Glucose and vitamin C can promote absorption.
